brown & blue

brown & blue by stof enzo

There is a story about this blue, enamel teapot. Can't descripe the color exactly. It's more than just lightblue, turqoise i think this color is called?
Mandy, my love, sells enamel pottery in his shop "De Emaillekeizer" and is also the wholesaler for many shops in the Netherlands & Europe.
One of the enamel items he's got, is this teapot.
A favorite of a lot op people and it has been often popped up in magazines and blogs.
The brand Slowwood for example used the enamel teapot for props in their photographs.
Also my favorite, but i never thought the teapot would be sold out that quick. And i didn't had one! But i was lucky: Mandy found the last copy in his warehouse.
And now the teapot stands next to my brown retro vase from Berlin.
I like the combo of colors and form.

The pile of grannies is growing.
In this recent post i told you about my intention to make a plaid for my daughter Nika, for her birthday in July.
So at least once a day, almost every night i use my croceht hook and increase the stack of granny squares.
Not that it takes that much effort to make lots and lots of squares for my beautiful daughter.
It's worth doing it. Square after square!

hangers and pants

hangers from the thrift shop by stof enzo
hangers from the thrift shop, a photo by stof enzo on Flickr.
Lot's of activities to do this weekend, but i am glad it's the end of the week.
I worked on some new fabric designs, since it has been a while i came up with my own fabric since the introduction of the apple print & the flower power design.
Now I'd like to spend some time with the family.

This is a picture of my brand new pants. Both in pastel colors. The light green pants in a slim jeans model and the pink is a cotton chino.
When you have legs like mine, then you know it's hard to find a good pair of pants that are long enough and also have a waist that fits. Almost mision impossible. So my wardrobe is crammed with dresses and tops and less with well-fitting trousers.
I don't even have nice jeans. You know, like the kind of jeans you want to wear every day, 'cause it looks good (sexy) on you and feels like a second skin.
These two come close to my wishes and hurray, weren't that harsh for my wallet!

And then the hangers. Found in a thriftshop for just € 0,20 each. I have four copies, also in red.

So, a good beginning of my weekend.
Happy wknd and see you next week.

Hydi

new bag in the shop

This handmade gobelin bag by stof enzo is allready my favorite bag. The flower print does it!
Big enough to put my paperwork in, stylish enough to take it with me on a creative business appointment, handy enough to carry my groceries with me, retro like because of the use of the gobelin fabric.
It can be yours to!

The pile of granny squares is supposed to be a plaid for my daughter Nika.
For her birthday in july this year. Plenty of time to make it on time then.
She doesn't know yet.

new in the stof enzo shop!

Lots of new haberdashery today (i love this word!) in the shop.
My favorite is the old pink lace. You can decorate  a shelf from a brocante cabinet or use the lace for a finishing touch for your handmade cushion.
The lace is also available in kaki.
